Get outside and enjoy our first birding walk of 2020! The winter season is a perfect time to see the birds that spend the winter at our sanctuary. Stroll through our grasses, woodlands, and pond areas and learn to identify birds by sight and sound.

Novice and experienced birders will enjoy this walk. Participants should dress for cold weather and bring binoculars (some binoculars will be available to borrow).

People of all ages are welcome. Meet at 9 a.m. at the entry gate to the sanctuary at 13030 Old Annapolis Road (just east of Detrick Road) in Mt. Airy. Limited rest room facilities are available. The walk will be cancelled in the event of inclement weather or deep snow.
