Audubon Society of Central Maryland advances National Audubon's mission to protect birds and the places they need, today and tomorrow, through conservation projects at our wildlife sanctuaries and through education,
community science, and advocacy initiatives throughout our chapter territory.
We welcome your help.

Help Protect Birds and Their Habitats!

Birds travel thousand of miles to breed in central Maryland, many of which face challenges from shrinking habitats, climate change, and pollution. ASCM’s two sanctuaries provide critical stopover and breeding habitats for migratory birds.

Every donation is tax deductible and goes 100% to enhancing these sanctuaries and educating the community about creating wildlife-friendly spaces in neighborhoods to help ensure birds continue to thrive.

Thank you for standing with us to protect the birds we cherish.

These declining species migrate to ASCM sanctuaries to breed in our optimized habitats.

Summer is Sensational at Our Sanctuaries!

ASCM is the steward of two wildlife sanctuaries comprised of 270 acres in Frederick County.  These oases of biodiversity are carefully managed to support our Mission — to protect and restore birds, other wildlife, and their habitats. Everyone is welcome to enjoy the beauty and serenity of being in nature.
