Bob Schaefer Nature Walk Series
Join naturalist Crystal and friends for a guided walk as we see and identify the many fall migrant birds that use this beautiful Frederick County sanctuary.
Among sparrows alone, there’s a good chance of seeing Song, Field, Swamp, White‐throated, White‐crowned, Chipping and Lincoln’s Sparrows, as well as Dark‐eyed Juncos. We are also likely to see Ruby‐crowned Kinglets feeding in the goldenrod and Palm Warblers wagging their tails in nearby trees.
People of all ages are welcome to explore the sanctuary with us! Based on Maryland Department of Health recommendations, face masks and social distancing will be required for everyone's safety, and we will be splitting into small groups.
Registration is required and limited to the first 27 people who sign up. Spots are filling up quickly, so register today! Please register each participant in your party to help us comply with public health guidelines.
The event is free, but donations are always welcome to help us maintain our beautiful sanctuaries and support all of our efforts to help us make a home for birds. Thank you!
