I Bird I Vote Conservation Summit

Great news for birds and the people who love them. Audubon’s annual Maryland conservation summit, I Bird I Vote, will meet in person again this year, on February 11 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Virtual meetings have worked well for the past two years, says Tess Wilson, network engagement manager for Audubon Mid-Atlantic, “but there is unmatched momentum when we have the opportunity to build something in real time and nurture our conservation community in the same space.”
An event partner, the Chesapeake Bay Foundation, is generously donating meeting space at their headquarters on the Bay, and birders can start the day on an 8 am walk led by Audubon Mid-Atlantic director of bird conservation in Maryland Dave Curson.
“At this all-day event,” says Tess Wilson, “we’ll hear from elected officials invested in environmental issues, get policy updates from regional and national Audubon staff, and learn about the work our partners are doing around the state.” Registration, which includes lunch, snacks, and all sessions, is $30 with scholarships available.
Wilson says, “I am incredibly excited for these energizing conversations and connections, and I hope you can join us.” Please contact Tess Wilson with any questions, at tess.wilson@audubon.org.
