9:00-11:00 a.m.
6011 Boyers Mill Road, New Market
Join ASCM for a Bob Schaefer Series Nature Walk at our Fred Archibald Audubon Sanctuary in New Market. See and identify the many fall migrant birds that use this beautiful sanctuary. Among sparrows alone, there’s a good chance of seeing song, field, swamp, white-throated, white-crowned, chipping, and Lincoln’s sparrows, as well as dark-eyed juncos. We are also likely to see ruby-crowned kinglets feeding in the goldenrod and palm warblers wagging their tails in nearby trees.
People of all ages are welcome to explore the sanctuary with us. No restroom facilities are available. The event will be cancelled in the event of inclement weather.
The event is free, but donations are always welcome to help us maintain our beautiful sanctuaries and support all of our efforts to help us make a home for birds. Thank you!
