September Nature Outing and Monarch Tagging
Saturday, September 21, 2024
9:00-11:00 a.m.
13030 Old Annapolis Road, Mount Airy
Join us as we explore the Audrey Carroll Audubon Sanctuary looking for and learning about butterflies. Take part in conservation as we tag monarch butterflies on their journey south. These amazing creatures will fly 2,000 miles to overwinter in central Mexico.
People of all ages are welcome to explore the sanctuary with us! No restroom facilities are available. The walk will be canceled in the event of inclement weather.
The event is free, but donations are always welcome to help us maintain our beautiful sanctuaries and support all of our efforts to help us make a home for birds. Thank you!
