Making a Home for Birds Webinar Series

Invasive Plants & Birds at Fred Archibald Sanctuary

In this free webinar, Audubon Society of Central Maryland President Angela Moxley will review plans for massive residential development to surround ASCM’s Fred Archibald Sanctuary in New Market.

The nearly 3,000 new homes planned for this area pose a significant risk to native plant biodiversity at the preserve, with ecosystem-wide impacts reverberating to birds and other wildlife that find a haven there.

Moxley will review how invasive plants impact food webs and birds, what a recent vegetation study revealed about plant invasions and biodiversity at Fred Archibald Sanctuary, and where we can go from here.

The webinar is free (donations welcome!) but registration is required.
