In this free webinar hosted by Audubon Society of Central Maryland, Maryland Bluebird Society president Kathy Kremnitzer will review bluebird basics, including habitat, nesting habits, and how to provide bluebirds with the safest possible housing. She will discuss the importance of monitoring, including nest identification to determine which bird is using a nestbox, and take questions from the audience.
Kathy Kremnitzer is serving her third term as the president of the Maryland Bluebird Society and has served as secretary of the North American Bluebird Society for almost 12 years. She monitors bluebird trails in Frederick and Washington counties in Maryland, including as part of the four-person monitoring team for the 100-nestbox trail at Antietam National Battlefield. She monitors approximately 80 nestboxes each week during nesting season.
Registration is free, but donations are welcome; proceeds collected from this event will be split between Audubon Society of Central Maryland and the Maryland Bluebird Society.
