Saturday, January 15, 9 to 11 a.m.  A Bob Schaefer Nature Outing at the Audrey Carroll Audubon Sanctuary near Mount Airy will be sponsored by the Audubon Society of Central Maryland. Get outside and enjoy our first birding walk of 2022! The winter season is a perfect time to see the birds that spend the winter at our sanctuary. Stroll through our grasses, pond, and woodlands and learn to identify birds by sight and sound. 

People of all ages are welcome to explore the sanctuary with us! Please help us prevent the spread of COVID-19: We ask that you wear a facial covering if you are unvaccinated, maintain distance from others not in your party, and stay home if you are feeling ill.

No restroom facilities are available. The walk will be cancelled in the event of inclement weather.

The event is free, but donations are always welcome to help us maintain our beautiful sanctuaries and support all of our efforts to help us make a home for birds. Thank you!
